This privacy policy explains how the mobile app "German Citizenship Test" (Einbürgerungstest, "the App") handles your data. The App helps you prepare for the German naturalization test. The app-specific statements below describe version 1.1.0, which is being prepared for release. As of 3 October 2026, the App Store lists version 1.0; the analytics behavior of that distributed version has not been independently verified for this update.

Offline learning

The App works offline. No account or login is required. Learning progress, answered questions, bookmarks, wrong answers, mock-exam history, streaks, study plans and your language and federal-state settings are stored locally on your device. The App does not upload this study data to us.

Analytics and advertising

In version 1.1.0, analytics are disabled. The App does not initialize PostHog or send product-analytics events. It does not show ads or track you across other apps or websites.

Managing your data

You can remove your learning progress using the reset option in the App. Removing the App deletes its local app data. Device or cloud backups managed by your operating system may retain copies according to your backup settings; the App does not manage those backups.

Contacting us

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message so that we can respond. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.

This website and external links

This website is hosted by Vercel. Opening it sends connection information, such as your IP address and the requested page, to the hosting service. Vercel also processes website traffic information and service logs. These website requests and logs are separate from your offline study data. These pages do not include analytics scripts or advertising trackers. For information about the hosting provider, see Vercel’s Privacy Notice. If you follow an App Store or email link, the destination service handles that interaction under its own privacy practices.

Your rights and questions

For questions about this policy or requests concerning personal data you have provided to us, contact hi@enokkim.com. Depending on the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and a complaint to a data protection authority. We cannot retrieve learning data stored only on your device.
